Privacy Policy
TraceCheck creates digital-footprint reports from identifiers submitted by a user, such as an email address, phone number, or username. We use submitted data only to run the requested search, deliver the report, process payment, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
Data We Use
- Search identifiers and optional expert-review details submitted by the user.
- Email addresses used to deliver reports, referral links, or support replies.
- Order, payment, report, and delivery records needed to complete the service.
- Temporary report data generated for the purchased report.
Retention
Completed report data is stored temporarily and expires after 24 hours. Order, payment, support, and abuse-prevention records may be kept as needed to operate the service, handle disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Providers
We may share the data needed to perform the service with hosting, payment, email, search, and AI analysis providers. We do not sell submitted search identifiers.
External Sources
Reports may reference information from public sources or third-party breach-intelligence providers. TraceCheck can delete data stored by TraceCheck, but cannot change or remove information held by external sources.
Terms of Service
By clicking a button that orders a TraceCheck report, you accept these Terms and confirm that you are legally authorized to run the search and that you will use the result only for lawful, informational, defensive, investigative, or compliance purposes.
- TraceCheck is an informational service, not a consumer reporting agency, credit bureau, employment-screening service, or law-enforcement database.
- Reports may be incomplete, outdated, duplicated, or inaccurate because they depend on external sources.
- You must not use reports to make eligibility decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education, or similar regulated decisions.
- We may refuse, cancel, or suspend requests that appear unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
- Prices are shown before checkout. Any payment processor terms also apply to the transaction.
Acceptable Use Policy
You may use TraceCheck to check your own digital footprint, perform authorized security review, investigate fraud or account compromise, or protect yourself or your organization.
You must not use TraceCheck for:
- Stalking, harassment, doxxing, intimidation, blackmail, extortion, or public shaming.
- Credential theft, account takeover, phishing, SIM swapping, fraud, or social engineering.
- Searching minors without lawful authority.
- Employment, tenant, credit, insurance, immigration, benefits, or education eligibility screening.
- Bulk scraping, automated abuse, resale of report contents, or building a personal-data database.
- Any purpose that is unlawful where you or the searched person are located.
Refunds and Disputes Policy
- If a paid report has not started processing, you may request cancellation and refund.
- Processing normally starts immediately after payment. After processing starts or a report is delivered, refunds are usually not available because the report is a custom digital analysis.
- If TraceCheck cannot deliver the purchased service due to our own service failure, you may request a refund or retry.
- Verified duplicate charges, unauthorized charges, or payment-provider errors will be reviewed and corrected.
- Contact support with the order ID, payment reference, and reason for the request.
